Q: How much does it cost to charge the scooter?
Typically it is around 30p to fully charge a scooter after a round depending on your local electric tariff.
Q: Who insures the scooters?
The Course is responsible for insurance of equipment and public liability which typically falls under the same policy as the buggies but should be checked. TeeDrive holds additional public liability insurance of £2million.
Q: What if the scooters get damaged?
The person that rented the scooter must be liable for any damages caused due to negligence or missuse and this should be made clear by the course at point of hire. Faults or damage arising from fair wear and tear will be repaired by TeeDrive if a maintenance option is taken or by the course if not.
Q: How should the scooters be stored?
The scooters are IP65 for wet weather play although we recommend they are stored in a safe and sheltered area and are secured overnight.
Q: How long does it take to charge the batteries?
6 Hours if empty, after 1 round they have approximately 40% left so only take 3-4 hours to charge.
Q: How many rentals can I expect per scooter?
All depends on how busy golf courses are, the time of year, but we would expect on average based on 1 hire per day per scooter midweek and 2 hire per day per scooter at a weekend*.

Q: What does it cost the golfer to hire a scooter?
The cost per hire is set by the golf course.
Q: Will this reduce my buggy rental income?
Golf scooters typically appeal to a different demographic and can increase the number of players renting ride on options at your course.
Q: What impact does the golf scooter have on the fairways?
The scooter is considerably lighter than traditional golf buggies and in most cases can be taken on fairways with no worse impact than a player walking with an electric trolley.
Q: How do you charge the golf scooters?
The batteries are removable and can should be taken to a dry location to be plugged into the supplied chargers, same as an electric trolleys.
